Ever wonder if what you're wanting to do is even physically possible or financially possible? We all know renovations are always questionable - but what about new homes? Yes, there are things to consider even for new homes.
What can you do? Let's be honest and say that most, if not all things are possible with an incredible structural engineering team and the architectural team making sure it still looks good. But how much is it going to cost you is the real question. Let's look at the different options of construction and the level of cost involved.

Slab on grade is cheaper than crawlspaces but additional pre-planning for your plumbing, electrical, etc. must go in before rather than later like a crawlspace. plan on the go. Ex. our house is crawl but our master bedroom suite is on slab. We had to pre-plan our ensuite shower and bathtub - what kind of tub filler will we use? we needed to buy and install the mechanism that gets put into the slab prior to pouring the slab. What type of shower? insert, curb or curbless?
