Day 14
Bathroom Tiles
If you tackled this on Day 11, then you’re ahead of the game! Now I don’t just mean the bathroom floors, but also the tub, shower, and backsplash walls (and ceiling if that’s your thing).
Another thing to think of, aside from color, texture, and size, but also patterns. Stacked, staggered, herringbone, chevron, basketweave, etc. Speak with your Interior Designer, view plans, samples, see what the patterns will look like, etc.
Another thing to look into is microcement. This is becoming more and more common in bathrooms. If this is what you'd rather go with than tile, you will still have to determine the application (floors, walls, stairs, ceiling, etc.) the type (the product should be discussed with your microcement professional), the colour and finish. Start with determining the basics and go from there.
7 days to go! Can you believe it!
This week we are tackling all the interior finishing decisions you need to make during your build. Could it be even more exciting than the last week.. I think so!
You’ll be working closely with your Interior Designer so take this time to review their plans, specifications, products and materials, etc. This is a very pricy part of the process so be sure to check in with your Contractor / budget on each one of these next big ticket budgeted items.
Let's move on to the next lesson
