Siding and Roofing Materials

Take a look at your architectural plans. At the very least, on your exterior elevation views you should have a note mentioning the type of exterior materials you will be using. Products like cedar (or other varying type of wood), a concrete cement board product like James Hardie, stucco, concrete, stone (natural or cultured), metal, etc.
If it’s not noted on your plans, go back to your Architect/ural Designer and have a discussion on the vision of the exterior. Siding makes up a large part of the exteriors appeal so you want to make sure yours and the designer's vision is aligned.
