A custom home or major renovation is a significant undertaking.
Not simply because of the investment, but because of the number of decisions involved and the fact that many of them are connected in ways that aren't always obvious until you're already in the middle of the project.
There are decisions about the architecture, the structure, the systems, the materials, the construction and eventually the hundreds of details that make the house feel like yours.
Your professional team will guide you through their areas of expertise.
Private HQ exists for the space in between.
It gives you somewhere to go when you want to understand a decision before making it, prepare for an upcoming conversation, work through something you don't quite understand, or simply make sure you're thinking about the right thing at the right time.
Built Around the Reality of a Real Project
Private HQ isn't designed to replace your architect, designer, contractor or other professionals. You hired them for their expertise, and good projects depend on trusting the people you've chosen. What Private HQ gives you is a broader perspective on the project as a whole.
With decades of experience in architectural design, custom homes and renovations, our team have seen the decisions that tend to create problems later, the details homeowners don't always know to ask about, and the difference that good preparation can make.
Sometimes that means understanding why a particular recommendation has been made. Sometimes it means knowing what needs to be resolved before you move forward. And sometimes it simply means having someone who can help you make sense of everything happening around you.
The goal isn't to question every decision. It's to make better-informed ones.
Two Ways to Use Private HQ
Not every homeowner needs the same level of support. Some people are comfortable working independently. They want a clear framework, excellent resources and the ability to work through their project on their own time. Others want that same foundation, but also want direct access to experienced guidance as their project unfolds.
Private HQ offers both.
Self-Guided
For homeowners who want the framework and prefer to work through it independently.
The Self-Guided option gives you access to the Private HQ programs, resources and project framework for a full year. You can work through the material at your own pace and return to it as your project progresses. One month you may be focused on establishing your vision. Later, you'll be thinking about construction, selections or another decision entirely. The material is there when you need it. You don't have to work through everything at once, and you don't need to follow someone else's schedule.
It's a structured way to stay informed and organized while remaining in control of your own process.
Advisory
For homeowners who want the framework and prefer one-on-one, directly with our team.
The Advisory option is structured private consulting throughout your year. We work through our framework, understand where you're at in your project, and what you need to know in that very moment. Then you might use a session to review a decision, talk through a recommendation from your team, prepare for an important meeting, look at a project issue from another angle, or work through something that has become more complicated than expected.
The point isn't to have someone make your decisions for you. It's to have an experienced person in your corner when the decisions matter.
The Work Changes as Your Project Changes
A home project isn't one long problem to solve. The questions you have before construction begins are different from the questions you have once the walls are open. The decisions you make during design are different from the ones you make when you're standing in a finished room choosing the final details.
That's why Private HQ is designed to stay with you for a full year.
You can use the programs when you're ready for them, return to resources when something comes up, and use your consulting time when you reach a decision that deserves more attention.
Your project doesn't have to fit the program. The support fits around your project.
What Private HQ Is Really For
It's easy to think that the value of a service like this is having more information. It isn't. There is already an enormous amount of information available to homeowners. The value is knowing which information matters to your project, when it matters, and what to do with it.
It's understanding that a seemingly small decision may have implications elsewhere. It's recognizing when something needs to be clarified before work continues. It's knowing which questions are worth asking your team. And it's having enough context to participate in those conversations without feeling like you need to become an architect, contractor or designer yourself.
You don't need to know how to build your home. You need to understand enough to navigate the process well.
A Better Way to Move Through a Major Home Project
The most successful homeowners aren't necessarily the ones who know the most about construction. They're the ones who are prepared. They understand their own priorities. They know what questions to ask. They recognize which decisions carry more weight. They give their professional team the information they need. And when something unexpected happens, they have enough context to respond rather than react.
That's what Private HQ is designed to support. Not a perfect project. Not a project without surprises. A better-informed homeowner moving through a complicated process with greater clarity, confidence and perspective.
Choose the level of support that fits you.
Self-Guided
A year of structured programs, resources and guidance to work through your project independently.
Advisory
A year of structured one-on-one with HQ to work through your project together.
Your home is too significant to approach the process blindly. And you shouldn't have to figure out what you don't know you don't know.
