E is for Enhance your build.

The key to a smooth, stress-free build is to reduce the number of unanswered questions before construction begins.

During your build, you’ll face 101 decisions, often at lightning speed. Some questions will allow for a bit of time, while others will require an answer within a day—or even on the spot. If you’re not ready, the trades move on to the next project that is. That’s where panic sets in.

I know this because I’ve been there.

When I built my own home, I was so focused on my clients’ projects that mine took a backseat. I rushed through my plans, thinking I’d figure out the details later. But when construction started, the questions came fast.

Some, I could answer immediately—because my husband and I had spent plenty of time refining our vision. Other times? We disagreed. Or worse—what I wanted didn’t fit within the budget. That’s when delays and stress started creeping in.

Imagine if you already had it all figured out.

✔️ You’ve chosen your window company and the exact style you want.
✔️ Your interior trim details are fully designed.
✔️ Your front door, including the stain color, is selected.

Wouldn’t that be amazing?

The more decisions you make before construction begins, the fewer roadblocks you’ll face. You’ll feel confident in your choices, stay on budget, and keep your project moving forward without last-minute scrambling.

Now Take Action

📖 Go to pages 18-19 in your workbook. List out the products and materials, the company, and the color or finish of as many items in your home as possible.

📝 The more decisions you lock in now, the smoother your build will be.

Own your choices. Own your project. And let’s keep things on track.
