Going hand-in-hand with the cabinetry, your countertops and hardware need to be chosen. This can either be with the cabinetry company, if it’s something they supply, or it can be an independent counter and hardware supplier. Have a modern kitchen without handles? Lucky you, you get an easier day.

Discuss the varying counter materials, like quartz, granite, laminate, etc. and price points. Get a price on install for both items. Some kitchen companies will charge a fee to install each handle if not purchased through them and, if you install the handles yourself, they may not warranty the cabinets. Double check the company's fine print.
