Exterior Lighting

Take a trip to your local lighting store or check out their store online. There will be more online than in store, but it’s great to see them in person as well.

Peruse your Pinterest to see if you like any lights in your exterior images. Decide whether you need uplighting/downlighting, stair lighting, motion sensors, potlights, etc. (don’t forget plugs!) and the various locations. Check your electrical plan, if provided. If not, you can work with your design team or electrician, whether on paper or in person and on site.

Speak with your Architect/ural Designer or your Interior Designer about their level of involvement with your exterior lighting and your budget with your Contractor.
